NAV 5.0 Error "Accounting periods" in an empty company

PROBLEM:
When you open a new, empty company (without copying data from company setup) you will not be able to open the "Accounting periods" form.
Instead you'll get an error message: "There is no accounting period within the filter. Filters: Starting Date: >= '' ".

SOLUTION:
Go to object designer and start report Report 93 "Create Fiscal Year" manually.
After you created the first entrie(s) with the report, you will be able to access the "accounting periods" form again.

Or you can modify the code in table 5814 Inventory Period, function IsInvtPeriodClosed, as described in Cannot open Accounting Periods setup
