Hello, Master Navision
How can I use shortcut key for button control?
I want to make Point of Sales by using Navision and I want it user friendly. For example, press F1 for Enter, F2 for looking item, etc. but I want it by pressing button not menu button. Anyone can Help me?
I still use Navision 3.70.
Thanks

Hello,
Since there is no direct shortcut assignement to buttons, you could create a menu button with a line for every button you use. In your buttons you call a function for every choice, and you call the same function from the corresponding menu item in the menu button and place shortcuts too.
Then you could make the menu button width and height to zero, focusable=no. That way you have placed shortcuts in the menu items and
the buttons on your form and can execute either...0 -
If you want to be user friendly, you should use the common Navision shortcut keys instead of re-arranging them according to your views. That way Navision users will intuitively know which buttons to hit for certain actions (i.e. F3 for a new record, F2 for editing and validating a field value, etc.).0
