NAS and multiple uses

We are going to be using NAS for RF and Job Queue. Our current NAS users are doing 1 thing only with it, so the question has come up, can 1 NAS support multiple uses (on the same company of course)? Thanks for your input.

Yes, a single NAS can be use it for more than a single functionality .

Yes, it will work, but do not forget that it will work in serial mode - it means one functionality at one time will be processed, it means if something take longer time, other functionality will be "suspended" for that time...0

Yes it's possible. Realy for this Navision as defined the "Job Queue" module.
But as kine sayed. Nav runs the objects step by step. This mean: first job (for example) One, if one is finished or ends with error, job 2, .....
So, if one job take a long time, the other jobs are executed later (for example 11pm) as defined (09pm).
If you doesn't need this so, you must create more NAS for handling the jobs.
RegardsDo you make it right, it works too!0 -
Thanks you all - the single threading will not be a problem for this client since most of the Job Queue batches will run overnight.0
