Hi All,
I have a BIG BIG PROBLEM...sometimes (every day) in my nice company we have a problem with the table 32...Item Ledger Entry...
When an user do a registration on this table, sometimes the registration is too long...too too too long...
45 minutes...for example... ](*,) we think it could be a problem with the index of the table, or wiht key of the table or...
what else?!?!?
Of course other users receive a message like this
"The table you have ask is unavaiable at the moment...please try later..." like the phone company...

Run client monitor and see where the program is spending all of it's time.

It looks like performance problem. How much people in your company are posting and working in the system? Can you post details about the NAV DB server configuration? (Mainly HDDs, DB files sizes and disks on which they are, RAID used etc.)

SQL or Native DB?

Is the lockup intermitten? Or all the time?

And also: what kind of registration is the user doing? Eg. He is it posting a shipment (or receipt or an item journal batch or ...) with 100 lines or with 100.000 lines? In the later case, it is not SOOO strange. But a little tuning will probably be needed anyway.

Also are you using serial numbers (or multiple lot numbers per line).
