Can anyone help me on how to speed up search functionality on a tabular form.

I suggest that you set the appropriate key first.
For example, using the customer card, the sort is normally on the No. field.
If you want to search on name, select the Sort tool from the toolbar, select Search Name. Then do a find for the search name.
If users are frequently searching on a field for which there is no key (no listing when selecting the Sort tool), you may want to add a key on that field.0 -
First is to set the correct sorting key on the tabular form.
Then u better use the InlineEditing property of the tabular form so that you need not have to press ctrl+f for searching..
Then check for the Quick Find setting..
click Tools, Options and the Options window appears, in that see to it that the Quick find option is set to YES..
