C/ODBC Connection Problems

Hi folks!

I'm trying to connect to Navision native database through C/ODBC, everything goes fine, it connects and I see the tables, but when trying to make a select i got a message saying that i don't have the correct version of the ODBC driver... is there a new version of it?

    Hello Juan,

    May I know your Navision Client version?
    You couldn't do "select" on all tables?

    You have to have a match version between your Navision Cleint and the C/ODBC driver.

    Mine is 3.70.00.13164.

    Sorry, but main thing is not version of C/ODBC but version of DLLs which are found in "Program folder" you entered in configuration of C/ODBC (slave.exe, nc_tcp.dll, dbm.dll) - this version must be the same too.

    In my DB Server machine:
    slave.exe is 3.70.0.13164
    dbm.dll is 3.70.0.13164
    Nc_tcp.dll is 3.70.0.13164

    Kine, do you mean that there's a possibility we have different version of those file between machines (client-server)?

    And version of codbc.dll is?

    I hope, that you have same version on you clients. I usually have more versions of client on my PC (I am a developer) and there is problem with it (when I need connect on another version of DB etc. :-)) But you must check, that there is no older version in some folder and you don't have configured this old folder in ODBC source...

    I've checked the versions of all the files....

    slave.exe 3.70.0.13164
    dbm.dll 3.70.0.13164
    nc_tcp.dll 3.70.0.13164
    CFRONT.DLL 3.70.0.13164

    they're are all the same...

    and version of CODBC.DLL (can be found in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Navision\CODBC)???
