Copy/Paste Functions to NAV 5.00 SP1

Hello everybody

I'm trying to upgrade a Customer from 3.70 to 5.0 SP1. The functionally upgrade I always do manually (I don't trust to the Navision Developers Toolkit), from the old to the new Version.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work in NAV 5.00 SP1. The Navision close suddenly, with the Question to send an email to Microsoft. Hmm, has anyone the same problem? Some ideas how to solve the problem? Or it is an know Issue?

    First, open your 3.70 DB with a 5.0SP1 client and let it convert the DB. Then you can use the copy-paste without having a crash.

    Thank you very much for your help. Now it works. The only thing is, that I now have to run a NAV Service, to open to 5.00 SP1 DB on my Client.

    But that's even better then put the Code in manually.

    When I do a merge, I always put the DB's in SQL (WITHOUT data). This way I can open as many DB's as I need with the same client.

    Another possibility is to copy the client-directory to another place and use the 2 fin.exe to open different DB's without a server.
