Has anyone else received a beta test invite to the new Google Email Service called Gmail?
https://gmail.google.com/
A Google approach to email.
Gmail is an experiment in a new kind of webmail, built on the idea that you should never have to delete mail and you should always be able to find the message you want. The key features are:
Search, don't sort.
Use Google search to find the exact message you want, no matter when it was sent or received.
Don't throw anything away.
1000 megabytes of free storage so you'll never need to delete another message.
Keep it all in context.
Each message is grouped with all its replies and displayed as a conversation.
No pop-up ads. No untargeted banners.
You see only relevant text ads and links to related web pages of interest.

Google's out of control!!! - check out this new little feature:

Preview search results in a small inset window that closes automatically
Access Google from any application by typing Ctrl+Alt+G
Use keyboard shortcuts for multiple Google searches, i.e., Google News (Ctrl+N),Google Images (Ctrl+I), or Froogle (Ctrl+F)0 -
Yes, GMail is brilliant.
think hotmail on steroids, 1GB limit - invite only (so decent names still available)
anyone want an invite? send me a message to MrDeee@GMail.com0 -
I've been using Gmail for a week now. But I have not received any invites to send out. Did it take you a certain amount of time or emails to get the invite for others?
I've also set up my outlook to autoforward important emails to my gmail account so it will always b quickly available.

You can create Labels (folders)
filters to move your emails from place to place.
auto forwarding
10mb attachment
etc etc
you can also download:Gmail Notifier
Want to know if you've got new mail? Let us do the checking so you don't have to. Find out when new messages arrive, and even see their subjects, senders and snippets, all without having to open a web browser
I'm sure I will figure 100 good uses for this.0 -
