Data template

Hi!

I just created a data template header for table 15 G/L Account. I added a few fields. When I click on functions -> "Create instance" I receive this error message:
Number Series hat not been setup for table 15 G/L Account. The instance could not be created.

What did I do wrong? How can I solve this issue?

    It appears that you need to set up a numbering series for that table

    Yes, that is what I also read from the error message.

    But how can I set up a Number series for that table, please?

    You will have to debug the process and figure it out by looking at the code where it is expecting a numbering series. I have no experience with this data template functionality.

    You cannot create instance from Data Template Header for that table, instead use G/L Account Card form. First create a new record, assign it a "No." and then use function "Apply Template" to fill additional fields.

    Creating instances from Data Template Header is only possible on tables that have no. series on it (customer, vendor...).

    You did nothing wrong, it is just made that way. Test on customer table for example. You will see their how it works.
