Mail logging - Outlook synchronization

Hello,
To set up the maillogging, is it still the same procedure for version 5.0, because the startup-parameter for application server 'MAILLOG' does not exist any more in codeunit 1. Or has it to happen now with the outlook synchronisation setup, but in that case how do you have to configure it? Thanks
Kind regards

Hi Lanki,
The NAS option is gone. E-mail logging is now run through the job queue.
"In Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0, e-mail logging is not run by using the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Application Server (NAS) together with the MAILLOG parameter. Instead, e-mail logging is run from the Job Queue in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 or from a Microsoft Dynamics NAV client. The Job Queue is run from the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Application Server."
Another scenario is to link the email logging to a user in the "Relationship Management Setup" and run it that way.

Hello,
thank you very much, this was the explanation i was looking for
Kind regards0 -
Is there something wrong with the article? Why does it ask you to setup codeunit 5064 twice in the Job Queue?Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

The reason is that Job queue minimum unit of recurrence is 1 min. Where as in RMS Setup it is in seconds, and the default is 30 seconds.
So in order to run it more than once per minute, they are including it twice.
I don't have any proof for the above assumption.0
