Get Image Size

Does anyone know how to retrieve the dimensions from an image on the file system ? I can load the filename into the FILE datatype, but that doesn't help me any further. I need this because I can only use images with a minimum resolution of 1024x768 in a third party application.

It get's sizes and perhaps you can use it to resize your pics to the size you need.0
