Transferring a value from one form to another

Hi All,
I have two forms - Form A based on Table X & Form B based on Table Y.
From Form A, Iam doing a lookup on Form B.
But, while doing lookup, I have to display the value of a field of that record from Table X of Form A on Form B.
Both tables are completely different with no connecting foreign key.
Can anyone please help ?
