Enter the posting date for the entry.

Attention
If the journal template is a recurring journal and a recurring frequency has been defined, then the date will be updated by the interval specified (for example, one month forward from the preceding date in the field) every time you open the journal again for posting. [color=red]If the date in this field is later than the work date, the line cannot be posted[/color].

Why is that? Is there a strong reason, that you cannot post to the end of the month in the midle of the month? As you are allowed to do that with normal journals?

You usually post entries in the recurring journal as part of your accounting close. And accounting close is usually after the period has ended.

Tools->Work Date (Change to last day of month)

Post recurring Journal.

Well, when you want to change how the system is originally designed to work... you will always be rolling the dice as far as creating new errors

Another way is to set all your recurring entries to run on the 1st of the month if you don't have the energy to run it daily or on the day's that have entries. 8-[

It soulds like he want to run the entries by Date Range which isn't possible.

Have you tried using Standard Journal function in Navision? If you entered your entries in the General Journal, you can save the journal as a standard journal, then call it back up at a later date.

This way, you're not confined to the posting dates of the recurring journal.

Thanks Alex and Savatage for your input.

I would go with the Savatage's "changing workdate" solution, however for some users this seems to be too complex and dangerous.
