Negative Consumption in Manufacturing

Has anyone encountered NAV using SQL that allows you to go consume into negatives when posting production orders?

For the life of me, I cannot duplicate this in the testing environment, yet, I see it happening periodically in the production site. ](*,)

have you tried to setup bom with negative qty, and then change the production order with components having forward or backward flushing?

Ok, this problem occurs for Navision 4.0.

Basically, if you enter a released production order with multiple finished goods lines, and these finished goods uses the same components, NAV 4.0 will not check for negative quantities. This means that the system will allow you to consume into Negatives if you backward flush.

This problem has been addressed in version 5.0.
