Perfmon

In BOL, they refer you to Windows for explanation of the PERFMON counters. In Windows, they tell you they are SQL Server counters.
Using google and technet, I can come up with some explanations of the various counters, but nothing that addresses everything.
Has anyone seen an exhaustive explanation with examples that covers all the SQL Server counters in perfmon?

since SQL 2005 you can see the sql counters also in SQl with a little SQL Script:

SELECT * from sys.dm_os_performance_counters

Mhm, there are more SQL Server counters then i can see in perfmon :?:

Thanks for the links.
That site has a lot of useful info. A lot of the info I have found was written prior to SQL Server 2005.
Windows 2008 Server has improvements - some will benefit SQL 2008 Server, some should help SQL 2005 as well.
We will be setting up our first Windows 2008 Server clients soon.
The best admin book I have found so far is:
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Administrator's Companion by Whalen, Garcia, Patel, Miksner, and Isakov.

No one is putting all the SQL Perfmon counters together, and judging from the response to my post, there does not seem to be much interest.

The biggest problem I am having is with inherited 32 bit SQL Server 2005 systems that are suffering from performance issues for a variety of reasons.
