User Portal login problem

I just installed a test Navision 3.70A User Portal on our server. I am using the Cronus database with a Navision Database Server. I created a Windows Login with super user role.
When I try to login from a client machine's IE browser using the above Windows login, I get the "The combination of User ID and password entered is invalid. Try again." message.
I have not created or modified any web parts yet. Has this got anything to do with the problem or is it something else I'm missing?

    You must set up IIS to enable windows security login... as written in installation document... (disable anonymous login on iis).

    Yes I have IIS security set up as it is in the manual. I have disabled anonymous auth. and Windows integrated auth. is checked.
    Any more ideas?
