Use of C/FRONT and NAS

We need a connection between our application and Navision with the following special requirements.
1. Data transfer from and to Navision tables.
2. Executing of Navision code
As far as can be seen the first requirement can be implemented by use of C/Front, file transfer is no option, and the second by use of NAS.
Is this correct or is it possible to use one of these components for both?

You can use NAS for both. NAS can send the data as an XML and receive XML if you need. You can build WebService over NAS to do the exchange...0
