Database Move

I am trying to move my 3.70 native database to another server. I installed server and client on the new machine. I backed up the database on the old server. I restored the database on the new machine. I am able to see the companies and it gives me the log in but when I put my name and password in it opens to a blank screen. Any ideas on why it wouldn't be opening?
