Wrong Database Version

I downloaded V3.70B for GB from partnersource and installed it on a standalone pc, using the complete client installation option. When I run it I get the message 'The database file cannot be used with this version of the program'. If I look in Help ... About ... it tells me I am running V3.70B. To check that it was opening the right database, I used the 'Open Database' to open 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision\Client\database.fdb'. I get the same message. I deleted the exisiting version of MBS-Navision (3.70) before installing this version (3.70B). I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still have the same problem. The modified date for folder ''C:\Program Files\Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision\Client' is today.
Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong please ?

I just realised I needed to delete the database file from the old version before installing the new version. Add/Remove programs leaves it in place. A database file from V4.00 was still in the default folder. The install has worked fine now.
