customized DE 3.7 -> IT 5.0 version upgrade

Hi everybody,
can you advise better way to provide NAV upgrade from German 3.7 customized version to Italian 5.0 version?
Is it better to upgrade first to German 5.0 and then merge it with Italian 5.0? Or upgrading directly to Italian 5.0 is more effecient?

And one more question about NAV 5.0 Upgrade Tools:
- there is a "Multilanguage Tools" folder with number of .exe files, does anyone know where I can find documentation for it. There is nothing about it in Upgr Tool Manual.
- in the folder "Object Change Tools" there are two files Duplicate Names.fob and Findlock.exe. Also can't find anything about it in Upgr Tool Manual.

    It depends a lot on how much (and which) customizations you have. But in general I would say to first upgrade to DE 5.0. And then do a merge to 5.0 IT.
    The IT-version is quite localized in confront to W1-version.
