Customer name width in table 18--Navision 3.70

hi all,
i have a problem like this can anyone suggest me,

Well we have customer name field in table customer ,its width is 30 text.
but suppose i want it to be more then 30 then what can i do.
Well my problem is ,if i change the width in customer table then will i have to change the customer name field in all tables,forms ,codeunits etc.

because i have implementing Navision 3.7 for one of our customer and he says that he wants the name and address field of the customer to be changed with having more width i mean more then 30 chracters ..

supoose if i say to customer ,that you cant enter more then 30 ,charecters then again he is going to demand it..

Please help me .

Use field "Name 2".

It is 30 symbols more.

Hi,

It can be done as long as you know where you need to change the field width. Its very common request by the clients. But before that you need to explain to ur client the cost and time involved in it.

this is customization and money.

you should also explain to your customer that he (perhaps) has to pay the same price for this changes with every update (for example from 3.70 to navision 3.70a ... or to navision 4.0)
