Hi there.

I have just upgraded an old Attain 3.60 to NAV 5.0, and the customer doesn't like the Menu Pane. Then I converted the old 3.60 main menu into NAV 5.00.

Does anyone know if it's possible to make this menu open when clicking the main menu icon (F12) in the upper right corner, instead of the Menu Pane menu?

I can of course make it open when loggin into the system (cu1), but if they close the form the link is gone.

    in versions < 4.00 there was an function in CU 1 which starts the MainMenu.
    When you add ths function (check also the id) the old Menu will be opend.

    But your customer should be adapt to the new menusuite

    Maybe you can show them the advantages of the shortcut-menu and the possibility to make menu's not visible.
    When they use the menusuite for a couple of weeks, they won't want to go back in time.. :wink:

    Thanks for your input.

    I haven't been able to persuade the customer to keep the NAV 4/5 menu pane. Yes, in cu1 I've already added code to determine form 330 during login. This works just fine, but the problem arises if they close form 330 and want to open it again.

    Hmm... I think I better try to talk some more to convince them. When it gets too annoying when the old menu closes they might be ready though :-)
