Navision Color Table Helper
It could be cometimes circuitously to satisfy customer wishes of having coloured Navision controls. If you´ve got a customer talking about thing like Gray Levels, Yellow Shadows, LightBlue3, MediumSlateBlue, MistyRose3, DarkGoldenrod1 etc. you'll probabbly need to look round for your haxadecimal calculator and start to waste yout time calculating well-known Navision RGB conversion.
This simple form helps you to get your Navision-RGB-representations fast and lets you choose the right colour for your purpose just like it looks out in Nvaision. This tool is pretty simple but it could save your valuable time for more effective activities.
Just use it as you need.
Cheers

Thanks! I have wasted alot of time calculating the correct color0
-
Nice way to visualize. I had to do colors for a customer once a long time ago and I created a little form with buttons to increase/decrease RGB values, which worked really well for me. This is much nicer because you can see the color right away.0

Hi, Guys,
thanx a lot for your positive reactions. I was just so frustrated ´cause of time lost within all those calculations - it was a must to create finally such a small tool. The visualisation is importen point - you're right - this helps and accelerates proper coulor selection.
:bug: I´ve noticed yesterday - there is a little bug on the form!
TextBox 1108600067: "Common Color Levels" (Option) has incorrect value of propertly VertGlue: should be Bottom instead of default value - it´s clear. Sorry , I forgot to change this. Please, correct this trifle yourself if needed - could be frustrating when maximizing the form ](*,)
Have a nice day!

when you open the form and Page Down to the bottom with the Custom Color Level set as the default Grey - you have no problems.
Then once at the bottom click a new Custom Color Level ..say "Blue"
now page down..
I get the error "The Indexing 0 In the Array is outside the permitted range"
then the form closes. Not the biggest problem in the world but figure i'd let you know.0 -
I've already fixed a lot of such things. But I can not find any way to update this Download. I would replace the old version. Any suggestions how to achieve this?
Thanx

No PM,please use the forum. || May the <SOLVED>-attribute be in your title!0 -
Just submit the file again using the regular Upload page, and use the Comment-field to let me know you want to update an existing download. It's as simple as that. I'll do the hard work ;-)No support using PM or e-mail - Please use this forum. BC TechDays 2024: 13 & 14 June 2024, Antwerp (Belgium)0

OK, good idea, I did it already. Please, replace the download with the new one. Thanx

This is a great tool!
Also you found the trick to fill cells with "background"-color by using fontname Webdings which changes g into a solid block! Very nice.

Thanx. The Webdings-workaround is tricky. Sometimes I use this together with doubble layer Textboxes when I need to use some kind of "Textbox with Background color" on forms.

Yes you're right.. another way would be to use bitmaps for resourceplaning and similars - the width is not so important in this case :-#0

FYI - The Import stops on this control
{ 1108600000;Image ;220 ;8030 ;770 ;660 ;VertGlue=Bottom; Bitmap=e:\geepz\graphics\logo-icon-16x16-navision.bmp; ToolTipML=[DEU=Navision Farbenpalette Demo Tool von Ivan Drabek (alias The Geepz); ENU=Navision Colour Table Tool by Ivan Drabek (alias The Geepz)]; OnPush=BEGIN HYPERLINK('http://www.drabek.info/blog'); END;
Basically Bitmap=e:\geepz\graphics\logo-icon-16x16-navision.bmp
is something on your machine. I just commented it out and it works fine.
Note: CodeGenius Studio 2007 come with some color help too

I think Color problems are things of the past with these two options! \:D/0 -
Sorry, this should not be a problem when importing the Fob. But if you import TXT this would be a must to remove/comment this part - was just a little advertisement :-$0
-
I've uploaded a new TXT-object version omiting this local bitmap information. This shoud fix this import "feature" :bug: sofar the package updated on mibuso download page.
