    yes, you have to do it on every client.
    yes, it should be possible through networked msi, but I don't know how, anymore. There is a description on this forum , if I remember correctly.

    Has this been fixed in version 5.0 for sql 2005? I am experiencing the same type of issues in 5.0 with comparatively small database installations.

    Update 1 for 5.0 behaves like update 6 for sp3.

    5.0 does not send index hints.
