Dataport conversion characters

Hi everyvbody,
I am exporting 3.000 articles via a dataport to an csv file. Everything is running fine exept the special german "Umlaute" which are not shown. I know this is a problem ASCII <=> ANSI, but unfortunaly I am a Navison starter and have no idea what to change where. The only thing I thing can work is a the commant "convertstr". Is there somebody who can give me the correct syntax ???

    Easiest way is to use export csv-dos format.

    There is one codeunit that we use to expot and import data with special caracters, if you post any mail contact, I'll send it to you.

    In excel choose File > Save AS > Files of type > CSV(MS-DOS)*.csv

    Try the ASCII<->ANSII Converter from the Download Section.
