Drop Shipment warning when posting Purchase Invoice

In codeunit 90 there is an error message warning that you cannot post a purchase invoice without first posting the sales invoice for a drop shipped line.

Would anyone happen to know the side effects of simply removing this error and allowing it to continue?

    I think it can affect costing. When you post orders item ledger are connected. In hat way they won’t be connected. I recommend confirming that problem. I can’t give you 100% sure because I don’t have looked at code.

    From a functional point of view it is just fine. If you have asked your vendor to deliver the goods at a particular customer place , you should not book the purchase invoice unless the goods has been delivered and you have raised the sales invoice.
