Hi,

I am getting following Event Log in Event Viewer (Application):

The description for Event ID ( 109 ) in Source ( HITLER-CLASSIC ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: The TCP/IP connection's 'host' is not answering (TCP/IP error ECONNREFUSED).

What does it mean and how can I solve this error.

I have install everything on same box.

Regards,

Naimish

What version are u using? It looks like NAS cannot find the server. Are you running SQL or Native? Because it looks like you are using Native.
Did you type the server name correctly? Did you setup the right startup paramters?

I have given followinf setup parameters in NAS:
    Database Server Name: HITLER
    Database: DATABASE PATH
    Company Name: CRONUS UK LTD.
    Start-up parameter: NEP-1
    Net type: Secure TCP/IP
    Object Cache Size (KB): 8000

    What I am missing ?

Try to use the IP address insated of server name HITLER.
Also is this 3.7 or 4.0? I believe in 4.0 you could not change the TCIP settings and had to go to registry to change it TCP. I think the defailt is set to TCIPS.

secure TCP has never worked for NAS. That needs to be changed to regular TCP. Make sure that your database server is also running on regular TCP. It's the SQL NAS that you can't set through the NAS MMC snap-in, that property is available for CLASSIC.

Just out of curiosity, is that the name of your company or something?

    Hi,

this settings can be configured over the respective MMC snap-ins:
a.) for the NAS the Application Server
b.) for the Database Server the Navision Database Management snap in (but i am not 100% sure about the exact name)

First set the property for the database server and then restart the service.

Afterwards set the property for the NAS and restart the service.

Do not forget to "Apply the settings" in the snap in
