Navision start up time

We are running Navision 3.70 and we are experiencing some very long wait times when starting up the application, especially after a weekend. We are using a Windows 2000 Advanced Server which is running Exchange 2003 (intranet only, low traffic). The Nav DB is on the server and we have about 12 clients.

The first person opening the app on a Monday morning may have to wait 15 - 20 minutes for the program to respond. Otherwise, sometimes it opens and sometimes there's a few minutes wait, during which time is seems to go between 'Not Responding' and 'Running'. Shutting it down and re-opening does not seem to help it at all.

If anyone has experienced this or knows of some reasons why it may be happening, your input would be appreciated.
