Not possilel to assign barcide mask

Dear All,

i am trying to assign barcode mask to an item but i am getting the error that it is not possible to assign barcode mask containg trhe price and quantity characters here????

Anybody can help!!!!

The item is a scale item

    Could you explain it with other words what you try to do?
    In which form you work?
