No you have to do the NAV2009 study materials, they have significantly changed the installation and configuration training, and exam. The material is available on partnersource/customersource, and if you don't have access to these, then ask your partner for the material. I'm pretty sure there are some online bookstores where you can purchase the material.0

There is the MOC kit for the certification (80040A) on the partnersource. Take it as a base. Rest is just experience, knowledge about the system (system optimization part) etc.0

Hi everybody,
I am going to take NAV 2009 Installation & Configuration exam next week. Can anyone advise me if there are lots of "deep" (very detailed) questions regarding SQL in the Optimization and Troubleshooting part of the exam? I mean are there questions like which fields can you see in the Profiler or which stored procedure is used in any particular case? I hope that basic knowlage about logs, indexes, statistics etc. would be enough, but it would be nice to know in advance if deeper knowlage is necessary.0 -
What I remember there were questions on the level on which the MOC is describing the problems. Which SP defrags the indexes, how you can gather info about what is the problem, which counters can be interesting for you etc.0

hi everyone...i have a question:
i already have Dev I&II certification and financials certification (every one in nav5.0)
what if i obtain nav2009 Inst Conf. certification?can i obtain the cumulative one?(i don't remember the name)
The exams taken are correct, but i don't know if there are issues about the version...european support does not answer me0 -
for your info: MS answered me that i can obtain the cumulative, supershining, supercool certification with the IC exam for NAV 2009 (wich is quite short and easy in my opinion :-# ) and the other exams in 5.0.
Have a nice weekend!0 -
Yeah, as long as your certifications are on supported versions of the product you will have MBS Professional status instead of MBS Specialist status.0
