Been using my developer's license for 2 years now and no expiration message appears. I remember we had to renew our license with Microsoft every year, has this changed?

you still have to update it to use new versions of nav.
Change your computer date to future date and you will get the error. I believe they've increased it to 2 years.

Newer version require license. It depends on version. Some new version did not require new license, others did.

I know: for this reason i wrote "up to nav2009"...so, are you confirming that if i change my pc date i can use my dev license forever?(let's not take care about version).

My "background" thought is: if someone worked for a nav partner and after he gets fired he creates a personal company (i mean a "real" company) to sell clothes or hardware or whatever else...
He theorically can use nav as his system, buy licenses legally from a NSC and then use the "stolen" dev license to develop his own personal add-ins.
    :-k

We are not talking about live systems, their license will never expire. We are talking about development done by partners... :-)
