"The file int.etx was not found" error when starting Outlook

I have an apparently corrupt installation of the Dynamics NAV Outlook add-in. Every time I start Outlook, I get this message:

The file int.etx was not found.
Copy int.etx from the Navision installation CD to the client subfolder of the Navision program folder.

How can I fix this?

Thanks in advance,

Ricardo.

And have you tried to "Copy int.etx from the Navision installation CD to the client subfolder of the Navision program folder."?

    Hi Kamil,

Hopefully for your career, your NAV competencies match your sense of humor :D

I scanned the binaries for the int.etx file, but all I could find was fin.etx. I even tried copying it into the Client folder, and then renaming it into int.etx, but got a different message.

In the end, I fixed it by simply removing the NAV toolbar in Outlook.

    Thanks for the help

On Install CD for NAV 4.x the int.etx is in folder <cd root>\Client\program files\Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision\Client\

On Install DVD for NAV 5.x the file is no longer there. Sometime the problem is, that you have outlook addin for NAV 4.x and after upgrading to NAV 5.0, the versions are mixed because the old addin is not correctly uninstalled. I had this problem some time ago and yes, removing the addin and reinstalling it was best way how to be sore that I am using latest version of the adding (and sometime it is hard to get rid of this addin...;-)) ... 8)

PS: you know, without detailed info, sometime the simplest solution can be overseen and it is why I asked... 8)

    Kamil,

You are absolutely right, I should have supplied more accurate info on the case.

    Thanks again!
