We have logged the following problem with our service partner before and told that they had referred it to Microsoft as they weren't sure on a solution. It has been an ongoing issue for over a year now and seems to increase and decrease without regularity or any pattern that I can see. The issue is when users click on a Navision shortcut either from the desktop or from a start menu they get the following error:

"You cannot use the file c:\documents and settings\user\local settings\temp\__TEMP__.GJ3 because it is already in use."

This doesn't seem to happen on all pc's and doesn't happen all of the time to the affected users. Sometimes users can try the shortcut around 15 times and keep receiving this error message and then it finally opens Navision on say the 16th attempt. Also the filename given in the error message changes each time it comes up. If anyone has seen this sort of issue before or has any suggestions that would be great, some extra info about our setup is:

-server install of version 4.1 on sql server 2000

-local navision client is installed on each pc and the shortcuts point to the program files exe location
