Navigation Pane & Modal Form

Why on Earth does Navision disable the ability to show or hide the Navigation pane if one single form is running modally? It makes absolutely no sense to me, you can continue launching new forms at will, but if at any time one is running modally off another one, wallop, you are not hiding the Nav Pane, resize if you want but not hide it.

Is this a bug or am I missing something? Even v5.0 is doing it.

Try it yourself, go to the Customer Card and drill down to the list of clients. Doesn't matter if you run the Customer Card from the Object Designer or the Nav Pane, you are not hiding or showing the NP. :-k
