Does somebody know, if the Microsoft tool for the german VAT change is ready for download on the Partnersource :?:

Because i cant find it :-(

Did the % of the basic VAT change? Why don't you just change it in VAT Posting Setup? I don't think you need a tool for that.

Do not change the % Value in the VAT Setup from 16 to 19 ! A new line with the new VAT code is necessary.
You do need a tool ( or you can write your own ) It was announced for Oct 1st, but hasn't been released so far. :roll:

a)partial shipments ( shipments in 2006 get VAT 16% , shipments in 2007 get 19% VAT) , so all not fully shipped sales and purchase orders lines have to be split into two lines, the new line with the outstanding quantity.
b) Sometimes you need to use 19% even before 01.01.2007 if no partial invoice is possible in 2006 ( long term contracts which are fulfilled in 2007)
c) If corrective credit memos for 2006 are posted in 2007 they get the old VAT of 16%.
d) You need new tax accounts for 19%.

Some bugs in the tool ( not all, see Open Issues.doc in the download package) have been fixed, don't use the first version available before Nov 21th.

The second one ist better. Not perfect, but better then the first one
