Sync User Error on Nav 4.0 SQL 2008 R2

Dear Experts,

I am trying to move Nav 4.0 SQL DB from SQL 2000 to SQL 2008 R2. When trying to Sync the user with roles, Attached Error Occurs. Is there any solution for this? Thanks in advance for you help and I hope to get back suggestions asap. Thanks alot.

Dear Mohana,

I have the admin right on server and give all the sql roles to user that i initiate the sync. To upgrade to 4.03 means, you just want me to change the client and change the db version no. in Nav DB??

Dear Mohana,

I am not from end user. My customer still got no time to upgrade the version yet. This is how i tried out only. I have restored db in 4.0 SP1, can Sync properly with no problem. I use the 4.0 SP1 client but i go and change db version in sql table from 30 to 40, there got no error and i can sync too. But these are not the proper ways. I would like to get solutions with proper ways. Thanks.

The proper way is suggested by kine in above link

I advise to upgrade to klient NAV 4.03 to use Normal security mode and you do not need to syc anymore...

No, only way is to upgrade to 4.0SP3 to use SQL 2008 and 5.0SP1 to use SQL R2
