Creating a sub form for lines

Hello,

I am trying to find information on how to create a page with a subform. So headers at the top in the form of a card page and a list page at the bottom with the lines, the data comes from two tables.
Its like the sales order page with the header at the top and the lines at the bottom.
How do I create a subpage or subform that isn't a fact box but a list page in itself?

Create two pages of type Document and ListPart.

• Header Table will be source table of Document Page
• Line Table will be source table of ListPart Page
• In Document Page create a Page part and set PagePartID and SubPageLink as shown below :

The document tells me how to add a subform, sales lines to the sales header page but it doesn't tell me how to create a subform with the lines. When I create a card page and I want to add a subform it's the subform I want to create just like the salesorder subform.
I tried creating two standard pages and linking them but it doesn't work, the bottom page is empty.

make sure that you need to create header page as type document and subform as listpart type.

You can use the page wizard to create the subpage...

1) Click New in object designer
2) Select the table for your subpage in the "Table" field at the top
3) Click on "Create a page using a Wizard"
4) Select "ListPart" and Click OK
5) Add fields as required and click on Finish

...now you have your subpage

This is what I have managed to create with a document as the header and a list part as the lines is that correct, do I have to create a list part?

if you have created lines page as listpart type then fine.
can you show the properties of lines subpage in header page like subpagelink etc

If you will do exactly the same what has been done on page 42 and 46 you will achieve your goal.

I did the walk thorugh but it tells me to set the subformlink property and I don't have one, I'm using nav 2013

If you have created the subpage already (as a listpart) then just follow the instructions in the walk though link, in particular the section headed "Adding a Part Control to Display Sales Lines"

It should be SubPageLink Property - Here you need to put the filter value between the two Pages.

Like Page 42 is made on Sales Header and and Page 46 is made on Sales Line and No and Document No are the key values between these two tables so similarly you need to put the filter value between your tables.

I've done it as you have told me but the list part is on the right hand side of the screen not on the bottom, is there a way to tell it to go to the bottom of the screen?
By the way I can't attach a screenshot for some reason.

OK do one thing.

Make a Copy of these 2 Pages - 42 and 46. Save it on a new Custom ID(50000 Series).

Now Remove the backhand Table from Both the Pages and add your Tables ID. Remove all the Columns and add all your Columns from the Field Menu.

Remove the Factboxes. Now Try.

This is what my screen looks like, Ive tried everything do you have any ideas how to get the subform to go to the bottom of the page and not the right of the page?

I believe you have double indented the Part Page(Subform) that you have attached in the main page. Please remove one Indentation it will work.

I've done it, the name needed to be indented properly, thanks everyone for your help!
