Hello!
We are running a Windows 2003 Server SP1 and terminal services on it. Also we are using Navision 3.7 and Office 2003 SP2. When I try to send an email from Navision running in a terminal server session I get the error 32002 (Unspecified Failure has occured). Without terminal services there is no problem sending an email from Navision.
How can I solve this problem?
Thanks in advance
Jens Neumann

Also you have to make sure that the user have all the required rights and permissions to use both the applications with enough access on the drive where these applications are installed.
Good Luck!!
Thanks & regards

We have registered mapi.ocx on the terminal server.
Sending an email with outlook from inside the terminal server does not cause an error.
Even if I log onto the terminal server with an adminstrative account (and configured outlook) the error occurs.
Navision itself is not installed locally on the terminal server. We are using a link to a shared installation path.
Thanks again

Your error seems more your email client settings. Are you using Microsoft outlook as your default email client? Try to configure email account on terminal server client user and try sending a test mail from it.
Please try following steps;
You can set your systems default mail program through "Internet Options" found in your Control Panel. On the Programs Tab you will find an "E-mail:" Drop-down box. Select your preferred mail application from this list and press the Apply button.
If your mail system does not appear in that drop-down box, or if E-mail still does not work consult its help file to establish if it is (or can be set up to be) MAPI compliant, and for more information about setting it up as the default MAPI client on your workstation.
Enter some text into the body of the E-mail and this error will not occur.
Wish you luck !

ok, I just checked the options you described (preferred mail application is already set to Outlook)
I also tried internet security settings "very low"... without success...
Having some text in the body... unfortunately no success...
Where is the difference between working with terminal server and working locally when talking about mapi?
Thanks
Jens

I logged onto the TS with the Administrator account. This account has no special group policies.
What is SmtpMailX? I took a quick search but I could not find anthing about it?
Thanks
Jens
It works for me
