TCP/IP Error code 10055

Alex_ChowAlex_Chow Member Posts: 5,063
Hi,

We have a client that we connect remotely using RDP. Recently, we're getting an error connecting to Navision saying "TCP/IP returned an error code 10055".

Can anyone tell me in English what this means? :-s

    I found on msdn.com following:
WSAENOBUFS 10055 : An operation on a socket could not be performed because the system lacked sufficient buffer space or because a queue was full.

But to be honnest, what does this mean now? :-k

buffer space and queue full: perhaps out of memory ??

    Hi,
I am facing this error for the past 2 days. However, i'm not sure how to resolve or workaround this.

    Details as follows:
    - Client PC running Win XP SP2, 512 MB, installed with Navision 4.0 SP1 client and Database server
    - Client PC on static IP address
    - Windows Firewall was turned off 3 days ago to allow remote connection using VNC to the database server on client PC. Before that, Windows Firewall was turned on but not able to connect to database server.

What had gone wrong and how do I correct it?

Check your EventLog. If you have error with event id 4226 then try to apply this patch/hack http://www.lvllord.de/download.php?url=en/EvID4226Patch223d-en.zip

WinXP by default has a limit for number of TCP connections.

I will check if there is an event id 4226.

Currently, I am having trouble only with Navision. Could it have created incomplete outbound TCP connections that caused the OS to hit the max number of connections and went into a queue mode?
